The EVC Throttle Controller will only affect your warranty if it is determined to be the cause of the issue for which you are seeking warranty service. In that scenario, we would cover any expenses incurred under our own extensive liability coverage.

No. To be truthful, numerous dealers in Australia and New Zealand offer, install, or endorse our Throttle Controllers. A handful of them confuse it with a ‘Boost Controller,’ but it is not that at all. If you have any inquiries, we are more than willing to talk to your dealer or service center.

The EVC Throttle Controller functions well with both automatic and manual transmissions. Each unit comes with settings that allow for adjustments in the programming to accommodate the type of transmission in the vehicle.

In general, yes – Most car manufacturers typically utilize just one or two pedal assemblies. If you're transitioning to a newer model, it’s likely that the EVC Throttle Controller can be easily transferred, allowing you to restore your old vehicle's factory performance in a matter of minutes.

When throttle cables were in use, there was a direct 1:1 connection between the accelerator pedal and the carburettor (or throttle body). With the introduction of fly-by-wire systems, this physical link has been eliminated—the pedal now sends an input signal to the computer.

The Engine ECU monitors this input just like it does with other inputs (such as crank speed, air flow, oxygen sensors, etc.). It then computes the throttle response based on its throttle calibration established by the vehicle manufacturer.

The challenge is that manufacturers must account for numerous scenarios when determining the throttle output. These scenarios include, but are not limited to, engine emissions, passenger comfort and safety, intended vehicle use, and fuel quality.

To illustrate, the manufacturer will not create the same immediate response for an egg-hauling diesel van as for a small sports car, even if both vehicles may use the same or similar engines. When you press the pedal down in a high gear, you can create a temporary condition known as pinking. To mitigate these situations, manufacturers often reduce ignition timing by as much as 12 degrees as a standard practice to prevent engine harm. The same engine can respond significantly faster if you gradually apply throttle instead of slamming it.

The EVC throttle controller alters the signal in a proprietary manner, allowing the ECU to decrease the response time without impacting other ECU parameters. The outcome? The engine speed accelerates much more rapidly than it would by relying solely on the factory throttle tables.

They certainly do! Anyone with a later model vehicle equipped with a "Power" button (or ECONOMY) will observe a difference in throttle response and transmission shifts when toggling between the modes.
