2023 VW Crafter Throttle Controller Installation

This 2023 Volkswagen Crafter came to Canterbury Tuning for a throttle controller installation. After doing some research, our client knew what he wanted, and an iDrive EVC-X was ordered specifically for his vehicle. His main gripe was the responsiveness off the line and the laggy feeling these big, heavy vans have when accelerating. We completed a careful installation into the factory accessory panel to the right of the steering column. The wiring was run neatly behind the panel for a flush and 'factory' looking finish. After bringing this vehicle to our Christchurch workshop, we had it done and he was back on the road in under an hour! While the EVC-X throttle controller has impressive features for increasing throttle response, we also educated our client on the economy modes. The economy mode is a great tool when going off road (as this vehicle does occasionally) to stop throttle mashing due to uneven surfaces and suspension articulation.
